BLACKSBURG, S.C. – One person died and another was injured following a head-on collision in Cherokee County on Saturday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
It happened around 7:30 p.m. on SC Highway 5 approximately two miles east of Blacksburg, South Carolina.
Troopers said a Chevy sedan traveling west and an eastbound 18 wheeler collided head-on in the roadway.
The Chevy driver died as a result of the crash. The 18-wheeler driver was injured and transported to a local hospital.
