ROCK HILL, S.C. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle while walking across Interstate 77 in Rock Hill early Sunday morning, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred around 4 a.m. on I-77 North near mile marker 78 in Rock Hill.
Troopers said a pedestrian was crossing the northbound lanes and was struck by a BMW SUV.
The pedestrian died as a result of their injuries.
None of four occupants in the BMW were injured.
The collision remains under investigation by the highway patrol.
