“Planet parade” to shine brightly in night sky
The end of January has a wonderful surprise in store for stargazers.
Just by looking up, you’ll be able to get a glimpse of several planets shining brightly in the night sky. The six planets – Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Uranus and Neptune – will all be in a straight line.
Astronomers say the lineup isn’t unique; what is unique is seeing so many bright planets all at once. It’s known as a phenomenon called the “Planet Parade.”
The alignment will be visible for the rest of January, according to NASA. You can use the online tool Time and Date to see what planets will be visible near you.
