Salted Melon expanding to Phillips Place

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Salted Melon Market & Eatery today announces its third Charlotte location, expected to open this spring at Phillips Place, the upscale open-air shopping and dining destination in the SouthPark neighborhood. Salted Melon hosted a holiday popup in the same retail space, 6809 Phillips Place Court, Suite A, in December 2024.

Both Salted Melon and Phillips Place are thrilled for Salted Melon to open a permanent location at the SouthPark retail center.

“Our holiday popup was very successful and we look forward to becoming a fixture in SouthPark for healthy, gourmet meals and goods,” says Thomas Coker, co-owner of Salted Melon.

Salted Melon’s 2,769 square foot space at Phillips Place will include seating for 100 guests: 60 inside and 40 on a patio. Guests will enjoy counter service for its all-day menu of salads, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, smoothies, coffee, espresso, and tea. Similar to Salted Melon’s Eastover market & eatery, the Phillips Place location will also offer a selection of pastries and market items.

Guests will enjoy favorites like the Bandito Burrito breakfast burrito, Market Chop salad, Streetcar bowl, Super Caesar wrap, Mint Watermelon Salad, and Matcha Magic smoothie, plus a full espresso bar and homemade cold-pressed juices.

Guests interested in Salted Melon’s full-service dinner and weekend brunch offerings may visit the original location in South End.

“Salted Melon’s versatile offerings will be a wonderful and unique addition to Phillips Place. It’s such a strong local concept and we couldn’t be more excited to have Salted Melon’s Market and Eatery opening here soon,” says Stephen Summers, The Village Collection Managing Director.

Salted Melon will begin construction at Phillips Place in February. For more information leadingup to opening, follow @saltedmelonmarket and @phillipsplaceclt on Instagram.
