CONCORD, NC – There are 23 new police officers on the job in Concord.
The Concord Police Department held a badge pinning ceremony on Tuesday at city hall.
The officers took their oath to uphold the law while surrounded by family, Police Chief Jimmy Hughes, Mayor Bill Dusch and city council members.
According to a news release, 15 of the officers recently completed their Basic Law Enforcement Training and eight officers are transferring from other law enforcement agencies.
The new class of officers also includes four U.S. Marine Corps veterans, one U.S. Army veteran, two members of the U.S. Army National Guard and one U.S. Air Force reserve member.
The new officers are: Robert Ahlers, Jackie Baucom, Brice Boyd, Sarah Cruz Sanchez, Amoiree Faggart, John Flint, Camryn Gannon, Landon Gardner, Philip Hodge, Matthew Kolcusky, Eric Lansinger, Kiera Love, Philip McGimsey, Matthew McLester, Taylor Michel, Marissa Migliaccio, Connor Morrison, Daisie Roberts, Michele Robinson, Nicholas Schneider, David Vice, and Brandon Willibey.
