Paris Olympian to headline Fencing demonstration in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In just over two weeks, thousands of fencers will be in Charlotte to compete in the annual Junior Olympics for fencing.

Among those competing is Team USA Paris Olympian Magda Skarbonkiewicz.

Skarbonkiewicz, 19, is a four-time U17/U20 world champion and was an Olympian at the 2024 Paris games.

Skarbonkiewicz will headline a free fencing demonstration at the Convention Center on Saturday, February 15th from 3:30-5:30 pm.

Admission is free, and audience members will be able to learn more about fencing and even try it for themselves.

The demonstration was organized by DoGood, a student-run organization that arranges volunteer projects at national fencing tournaments across the U.S. To learn more about DoGood, visit their website at www.fencersdogood.org.
