CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A SouthPark restaurant was recently named one of the most romantic restaurants in the U.S.

Steak 48 made OpenTable’s top 100 romantic restaurants in America for 2025 list. The full list was generated from over 10 million reviews from verified OpenTable diners from December 1, 2023 to November 30, 2024.

“Restaurants with a minimum threshold of diner reviews were considered and evaluated by a compilation of unique data points, including diner ratings, the percentage of five star reviews, the number of alerts set, the percentage of reservations made in advance, percentage of capacity and direct searches,” according to OpenTable’s methodology.

While restaurants were not ranked from 100 to 1, Steak 48 was the only Charlotte restaurant and one of four North Carolina restaurants – JOLO Winery & Vineyards in Pilot Mountain, Ryan’s Restaurant in Winston-Salem and The Dining Room – Biltmore Estate in Asheville – to make the list.

Steak 48 opened in December 2020. It is known for its luxurious personal service and high-quality menu featuring USDA Prime Streaks, high-grade Wagyu and a raw bar featuring fresh seafood. Guests also have over 6,000 bottles of wine to choose from.

Steak 48 is a multi-award-winning steakhouse and is continuously one of Charlotte’s hottest restaurants and most sought-after reservations.
