Mother claims son was abused in classroom
CLOVER, S.C. – A mother is pushing for change after her four-year-old son was allegedly abused in a York County classroom.
The mother says the abuse happened this past October at Bethel Elementary School in Clover.
The child’s mother, Erica Biggar, says she wasn’t told about what happened until December. Biggar says the teacher is seen on video grabbing her son and yelling in his face.
In a separate video, she says the teacher is seen dragging the boy by one arm across the floor, hitting him against chairs and tables.
Biggar met with a York County solicitor on Friday who says they will not press charges.
According to Biggar, the teacher involved has since been fired.
