CMPD working to identify hit-and-run suspects
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is asking for help identifying two hit-and-run suspects from two different cases in south Charlotte.
The most recent happened on January 8th around 7 a.m. Police say a woman was jogging when someone driving a white Honda CRV hit her in the crosswalk at Selwyn Avenue and Runnymede Lane.
The impact threw the woman 10 feet.
Police say that the driver sped off after the crash, but witnesses stopped to help the victim.
The other hit and run happened on November 30th on East Arrowhead Road near Silver Arrow Drive.
Police say the victim had just gotten off a CATS bus when they were struck by a minivan.
The suspect also drove off while witnesses stayed to help.
