CMS student hurt in ‘accident’ near school in east Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC – A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools student is recovering after an accident in east Charlotte Monday morning.

A note to families from the Independence High School Principal says the ‘accident’ happened as a student crossed the road in front of Lebanon Road Elementary School.

The two schools are about a mile away from one another.

Medic says it took one patient to the hospital with serious injuries and a second person was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
