CFD: Unattended cooking items spark house fire
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A house fire is under investigation in east Charlotte. Firefighters responded to the 5200 block of Biederbeck Drive around 8pm Tuesday.
Fire investigators say that fire was caused by unattended cooking items. According to a neighbor, they called 911 after hearing the smoke detectors going off.
Charlotte Fire says 30 firefighters were able to get that fire under control in about 13 minutes. No one got hurt.
