Presented by U.S. Bank, rail trail lights returns to South End with nine interactive light installations

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – An interactive art walk featuring nine light installations are on display along the Charlotte Rail Trail in South End.

Each installation was designed by local, public artist Meredith Connelly who then subcontracted a team of 11 local artists to support the fabrication and installation of each piece.

When: Rail Trail Lights is taking place February 7-23. The “Flip the Switch” event will take place on February 7. A DJ and additional entertainment will begin at 6:30 p.m. and remarks from Charlotte Center City Partners, Meredith Connelly, and U.S. Bank will begin at 7 p.m. “Weavers,” the installation found at Atherton, will be illuminated once remarks end. From there, all attendees will be invited to stroll the Rail Trail at their own place, exploring and interacting with the additional installations.
