NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS — Ashe, Watauga and Avery County Schools will operate on a two hour delay on Wednesday, February 12.
Watauga county released a statement saying, “Due to pockets of ice-covered roads throughout the district and to give time for daylight in the morning, Watauga County Schools will operate on a two (2) hour delay on Wednesday, Feb. 12. Staff may report on a two-hour delay if needed to ensure safe travels to work.”
All three counties will reassess road conditions on Wednesday morning.
