Lenoir man charged for distributing methamphetamine

LENOIR, N.C. – Police have charged a man following an investigation into the] distribution of methamphetamine in Lenoir and Caldwell County.

Investigators started looking into the distribution of methamphetamine in Lenoir and Caldwell County after receiving multiple citizen complaints about illegal drug activity.

During the investigations, authorities said they identified Travis Killian as a key figure in the illegal distribution of methamphetamine.

On Wednesday, investigators executed a search warrant at Killian’s residence and allegedly seized approximately 349 grams of methamphetamine and $1,000 in U.S. currency.

Killian was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling for the sale of a controlled substance. He was denied bond after already being out on bond for a prior drug charge. 

The seized narcotics are valued at $52,350 in street value, according to the North Carolina Drug Guidelines.
