Eagles clarify plans for White House visit following Super Bowl win
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rumors have swept social media that the Philadelphia Eagles declined the traditional White House visit after their Super Bowl win. But a source with the team says an invitation hasn’t been made yet.
If one is, the source says the Eagles would be honored to visit the White House.
Earlier this month, the Eagles blew out the Kansas City Chiefs to take home the Lombardi Trophy.
After the Eagles’ first championship win in 2018, many players decided not to celebrate with President Donald Trump during his first term in the White House. Trump then uninvited the whole team.
