Police investigating homicide in west Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – CMPD is conducting a homicide investigation after a deadly shooting in west Charlotte. 

This happened on Lucky Penny Street just off Freedom Drive.

When police arrived, they located one person suffering from a gunshot wound. Medic pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

Police haven’t said what led up to the shooting or if they have any suspects.
