10 displaced in northeast Charlotte apartment fire
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Ten people were displaced following a two-alarm fire at a northeast Charlotte apartment complex.
It happened around noon on Michelle Linnea Drive near East Mallard Creek Church Road. A second alarm was triggered shortly after arrival.
The fire was controlled in 37 minutes. Charlotte Fire said four units were affected and 10 people were displaced. Those occupants are received aid from the Red Cross at this time.
No civilians or firefighters were injured from this incident.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
This is the second two-alarm fire that firefighters battled on Sunday. Around 11:15 a.m., firefighters were called to a home on Glen Forest Drive near Carmel Road for a fully involved two-car garage fire.
No one was injured in this fire either, Medic said. No further details about this incident have been released.
