Two people have life-threatening injuries following a shooting Thursday afternoon in northeast Charlotte.
CHARLOTTE, NC – A shooting near a middle school in northeast Charlotte left two people with life-threatening injuries Thursday afternoon.
The shooting happened around 3pm in the area of Merrick Street and Northchase Drive near Martin Luther King, Jr Middle School.
Medic says it took the victims to the hospital. There’s no word on a suspect.
A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools spokesperson told WCCB Charlotte that MLK Middle and Hidden Valley Elementary School went on lockdown as a precaution.
