Pastor accused of child sexual assault

A Union County pastor is charged with four counts of felony sex offense with a child.

Investigators say 79-year-old Waymon Jordan is accused of child sexual assault involving an acquaintance.

Jordan is listed as the pastor of Greater Blessed Hope Missionary Baptist Church near Waxhaw.

Jordan did post bond and has been released.

Union County deputies say the investigation is ongoing and they urge anyone with more information to come forward.
