North Carolina and South Carolina students to headline National Spelling Bee | PHOTOS

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) – The North Carolina and South Carolina Regional Spelling Bee champions are headed to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. after qualifying over the weekend. The Carolina Panthers Regional Spelling Bee presented by Bank of America was held at Bank of America Stadium last weekend.

The event welcomed 98 top student spellers from grades K-8, representing 64 school districts plus independent and charter schools in North and South Carolina. Four students from North Carolina and two students from South Carolina qualified for the Scripps National Spelling Bee Tournament in Washington, D.C., May 27-29.
