Five arrested in Rowan County drug raid

CHINA GROVE, N.C. – Five people were arrested Tuesday following a lengthy investigation into illegal narcotic activity in Rowan County, according to the sheriff’s office.

In July 2024, the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team (SOCAT) received information about the illegal activity coming from 190 Forsaken Drive near Daugherty Road in China Grove.

Throughout the investigation, deputies said they received numerous calls about shots fired, domestic disputes, overdoses and narcotics sale and use at that residence.Β 

Last Thursday, SOCAT conducted several traffic stops in that area and obtained a search warrant for the residence.

In the search, deputies said they seized 44.71 grams of fentanyl, half a gram of cocaine, 35.91 grams of methamphetamine, 18 dosage units of clonazepam, and 12 dosage units of Xanax.

Five people were arrested, and $53 and various drug paraphernalia were seized.
