A storm system will move into the area this weekend bringing the risk for severe storms.
- Timing: Late Saturday into Sunday. The main line of storms will likely roll through Charlotte between 5 am – 9 am Sunday morning. This could change depending on the speed of the system. Overall event for our entire area 3 am – 12 pm
- Impacts: Damaging wind, heavy downpours and isolated tornadoes possible. Wind is our greatest threat. It will be windy even outside of storms. Isolated power outages are possible. Isolated tornadoes are possible. Localized flooding is possible with 1-2” of

Saturday: Highest rain chances and possible storms across western NC – this timing can change as the system gets closer. Highs in the upper 70s near 80.
Sunday: Morning showers and isolated severe storms. Highs in the low 70s.
