MEDIC: 2 badly hurt after shooting at west Charlotte motel

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Two people are fighting for their lives following a shooting at a west Charlotte motel. It happened around 3:30 Monday afternoon at the Loyalty Inn on Lucky Penny Street.

Our crew on scene saw investigators focusing on a motel room. MEDIC says it took two people to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

We also saw police take someone into custody. It is not clear what their charges are, if any.
