MONROE, NC – An online child exploitation investigation has led to the arrest of a Monroe Man.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office says 33-year-old Joseph Velez faces 20 felony counts of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
He’s accused of sharing sexually explicit images of children on various online accounts.
Detectives executed a search warrant at Velez’s home and seized multiple devices.
He is being held in the Union County Detention Center on $2,000,000 secured bond.
