Pedestrian hit, killed by train in northeast Charlotte

Police are investigating a fatal collision after a pedestrian was hit and killed by a train in northeast Charlotte.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Friday night in the 9600 block of Old Concord Road.

Old Concord Road is closed between Suther Road and Lexington Circle. Drivers are asked to avoid the area at this time.
