CHARLOTTE, NC – A Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officer was hurt after a car crashed into a patrol car Wednesday morning in East Charlotte.
Officials say it happened when the officer was doing a traffic stop for an alleged fake tag on Winterfield Place around 2 a.m.
The car took off without headlights, hitting the officer head-on.
Medic says two people were hurt in the collision, including the officer.
Both were taken to the hospital, one with minor injuries and the other with serious injuries.
