Carbon monoxide alarm goes off on board AA flight

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – An American Airlines plane landed safely after a carbon monoxide alarm interrupted the flight Saturday.

A company spokeswoman says someone reported an odor on flight 1784 flying from Chicago to Charlotte Douglas around 10 a.m. Saturday.

Medic says six patients were evaluated for minor injuries.

American Airlines says no customers asked for medical attention, but crew members were checked by medics and released.

The aircraft was taken out of service for inspection.
