Tariq Bokhari sworn-in as Deputy Adminstrator of the FTA

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Former Charlotte City Councilman Tariq Bokhari is officially the number two for the Federal Transit Administration. Bokhari tweeted pictures of his swearing in on Monday.

Bokhari wrote in his tweet, “It was an honor to be sworn in and a whirlwind learning about the money involved and the people employed by the FTA.”

He resigned from Charlotte City Council last week in anticipation of becoming the Deputy Administrator for the FTA.

His former Charlotte City Council colleagues have not yet appointed his replacement.
