Armed grocery story robbery arrest

LANCASTER, S.C. – A man accused of armed robbery in Lancaster is in jail.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says Alexis Rodriguez robbed the Jones Crossroads grocery store on April 8.

No one got hurt.

The getaway car was captured on nearby surveillance video that belongs to Rodriguez’s family member.

Rodriguez, 40, was arrested without incident, but he was taken to the hospital on an unrelated issue.

Warrants were served, charging him with armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, and possession of methamphetamine. He received a $10,000 bond on the drug charge but denied on the other two, the sheriff’s office said.
