Discussion:
We’re starting the weekend off on a high note. Monday will be sunny, dry and pleasant thanks to high pressure overhead with clear skies and lows dipping into the 50s tonight. High pressure will slip offshore and leave opening for warmer and more humid air to slide in. Highs will drive back into the low to mid 80s Tuesday, before reaching the mid to upper 80s by midweek with overnight lows settling into the mid 60s. Isolated storms will become possible each afternoon, mainly north of I-85.
The bigger story will be Friday’s cold front. This strong front will sweep through bringing widespread showers and a few stronger storms (potentially a low end severe threat — something to watch). Behind the front, things cool down sharply with a dry and pleasant weekend ahead as highs fall back into the upper 70s and lows dip back into the mid 50s.
