Terrence Richardson is charged with murder and attempted murder after a shooting on Archdale Drive.

According to court documents, 37-year-old Terrence Richardson is accused of shooting and killing 26-year-old Mykel Washington at the Archdale Mini Mart and Laundry on May 5, 2025. Two other men were also shot, they were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Medic treated a 73-year-old man who was at the Mini Mart  for minor injuries.

The court documents say surveillance video from the Mini Mart shows a man walk up to the victims and start firing shots before he chases one of them inside the store, while still shooting. Detectives say they found at least eight shell casings at the scene.

Investigators believed the suspect may have been staying at local hotels. The court documents say they used surveillance video and saw Richardson going into and leaving a room at a motel on nearby Nations Ford Road. Detectives were able to identify the suspect from an ID used at the hotel.

Richardson is being held without bond. In court Wednesday, he received a court appointed attorney.
