NC’s first Whataburger set to open in Gastonia in two weeks
GASTONIA, NC – The first Whataburger restaurant in North Carolina will open on May 29th in Gastonia.
The Texas burger chain announced the grand opening for the E. Franklin Boulevard location on Thursday.
Whataburger started as a small burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas. With the opening of the Gastonia restaurant, the chain will have locations in 17 states.
The Hickory location on US highway 70 SE is scheduled to open in June.
Whataburger is set to open eight other restaurants in North Carolina through 2025:
