Financial services company moving headquarters to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC – Daimler Truck Financial Services USA is moving its headquarters to Charlotte and plans to create 276 jobs.

The company, which is the financial lender for Daimler Truck North America, says it plans to invest more than $7.8 million in its Charlotte headquarters.

Governor Josh Stein made the announcement on Tuesday. “I am pleased to welcome Daimler Truck Financial Services USA to North Carolina,” said Governor Stein. “More than 200 financial service companies call North Carolina home thanks to our skilled workforce and top-tier quality of life.”

DTFS provides financing and leasing solutions for Daimler Truck North America, which produces Freightliner trucks, Western Star trucks and Thomas Built Buses.

The company has offered custom financing, leasing, and insurance options for its commercial vehicle customers that include owner-operators, fleet owners, and municipalities for more than 50 years.

DTFS’s new headquarters in Charlotte will consolidate the current offices from Michigan and Texas into 60,000-square-feet for its administration, HR, and financial operations.

The annual salaries for the new positions will average $133,940.
