The concept draws on their deep family roots in the convenience store business, having operated Jeman Express for over 20 years at West Blvd and Remount Road in Charlotte.

In place of a longtime Charlotte Favorite, Zada Janes, comes the Painted Rooster. Fans are relieved to know that the former owner Marcia Hurst is remaining onboard for the opening of the new chicken joint with Zach Current And Crissy Oliver. The interconnection of restauranteurs remains alive and well as they are also connected with the co-founder of Moo&Brew on Central Avenue.

McHale’s Pub | Summer 2025

Less of coming soon, and more on the side of coming back. The Irish pub is not new to the community. McHale’s originally opened in Fort Mill in 1997 and also had a stint in Rock Hill until 2020, when it closed permanently. McHales will join other nearby eateries along North Davidson, including Haberdish and Ever Andalo.
