Discussiobn:
A strong cold front will sweep across the region this afternoon, triggering storms between noon and 6pm. The main threats are damaging wind, large hail, and a low end tornado risk, as well as heavy rain leading to localized flooding. Expect a broken line, or clusters of storms to be the main storm mode. Once the front clears the area, drier air will drive in giving us a pleasant weekend. Highs will reach the upper 70s to low 80s, but with less humidity it will feel much more comfortable across the area. Temps will heat up quickly next week with highs pushing into the mid to upper 80s as humidity builds back in.
