Suspect arrested in north Charlotte shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A suspect has been arrested in connection to a north Charlotte shooting on Saturday.

It happened just after midnight Saturday in the 9300 block of Broken Pine Lane. 

When police arrived, they located 25-year-old Jahlen McDonald with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an investigation, police identified 24-year-old Thomas Cartee III as a suspect and arrested him. 

Cartee has been charged with Murder and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
