Groundbreaking ceremony for Harvest Center of Charlotte
Work is now underway on The Harvest Center of Charlotte after a groundbreaking ceremony Monday morning at Brookhill Village.
The project aims to restore and revitalize one of Charlotte’s historic communities and build a supportive community for people dealing with homelessness.
“We’ve been working on this for the past three years, but if you know anything about Brookhill Village, it’s been a decade when they’ve been asking and crying out for services,” Colin Pinkney, CEO of Harvest Center of Charlotte, said.
Nearly 20 different community partners will have office space in the complex.
THCC hopes to have the center open by May.
