Rock & Roll Hall of Famer to open restaurant at Charlotte Douglas International Airport

Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sammy Hagar announced his newest restaurant that will open this summer at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill restaurant will open in Concourse D. It spans 2,300 square feet and seats 113 guests while offering an electric atmosphere and photos from Hagar’s music career.

“Bringing Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill to Charlotte is all about sharing good times, great food and a rockin’ playlist with travelers,” said Hagar. “I’m especially proud that through the Hagar Family Foundation, we will be giving back to the Charlotte community, like we do at all of our locations.”

Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It will offer a variety of foods from breakfast burritos, french toast, quesadillas, nachos, tacos, burgers, barbecue brisket, and more. The restaurant will also feature a full bar.

“Sammy’s positive energy is apparent in every aspect of his Beach Bar & Grill, which will bring a fun and exciting vibe to Concourse D, especially for those embarking on flights to the Caribbean who want to get a head start on enjoying the relaxation and island life,” said Stephen Douglas, Vice President of Business Development, HMSHost. “We’ve had a wonderful partnership with Sammy and Charlotte Douglas International Airport for many years and are very happy to have had this opportunity to collaborate on a dining venue that will make the journey through CLT more exciting.”

While the official opening date as yet to be announced, Sammy’s Beach Bar & Grill will be open daily from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.
