The Charlotte Hornets are trading center Mark Williams to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for two first-round picks, according to ESPN Insider Shams Charania.
The Hornets received the No. 29 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft and a first rounder in the 2029 draft, according to the report.
Williams was drafted by the Hornets at No. 15 overall in the 2022 NBA Draft. He averaged 12.3 points and 8.8 rebounds across 106 career games and 77 starts. Last season, he averaged 15.3 points and 10.2 rebounds, and recorded 21 double-doubles.
Williams was nearly dealt to the Los Angeles Lakers at the NBA trade deadline in February. However, the 23-year-old center failed a physical, and the trade was rescinded.
