30 people arrested after ICE investigation at Kings Mountain business

KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. – 30 people have now been arrested as part of an ICE investigation at a business in Kings Mountain. It’s an update to a story we first brought to you Wednesday night on WCCB News @ Ten.

Homeland Security and ICE agents swarmed Buckeye Fire Equipment on Wednesday, they say over allegations the company used fraudulent documents to allow undocumented immigrants to work there. About 300 people were inside the building at the time of the raid. Agents tell us there could still be more arrests on the way.

We’ve asked an ICE spokesperson if the owner of the company is one of the 30 arrests. We also asked what charges those 30 people are facing. We have not heard back yet.
