ROCK HILL, S.C. – A homicide investigation is underway in Rock Hill after a 17-year-old was shot and killed on Friday night, according to the Rock Hill Police Department.
Just after 10 p.m. Friday, officers responded to Finley Road near West Main Street after receiving reports of gunshots and an injured victim. Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Piedmont Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
According to the investigation, the 17-year-old was driving on Finley Road when an unknown suspect fired a gun resulting in the teenager being injured by gunfire, police said.
The incident is under investigation.
