A local teen gets stuck on design project

MOORESVILLE, N.C.– Nicholas Moore, a rising senior at South Iredell High School, has been named one of five national finalists in the Duck Brand Stuck at Prom Scholarship Competition. The contest challenges students to create and wear a prom tuxedo or dress made entirely out of Duck Tape.

Nicholas designed a music-themed tuxedo inspired by his love for band. He’s active in marching band, concert band, jazz band, and plays in the pit orchestra for school musicals (The Sound of Music last year and The Wizard of Oz next year).

Nicholas is the only finalist from NC, and public voting will help determine the winner. You can vote now untilJuly 9th.
