Gastonia celebrates July 4th with food, fun and fireworks

GASTONIA, N.C. – Gastonia’s fireworks display this Fourth of July followed hours of festivities in the city’s downtown.

It was a full day of fun with food, music, and plenty of things to do for the kids.

Cameron Mack tells us she comes for, “The fireworks. I love the fireworks. And I love this little town called Gastonia. It’s a really. It’s really just a nice experience.” Charlotte resident Daniel Scruggs says, “(We) didn’t have anywhere to go for 4th of July, so I gave it a shot, and we’re loving it.”

Several roads were closed in order to host this year’s holiday events.
