A Superior Court Judge from Buncombe County imposed terms of the active sentence after Holmes entered the guilty plea for his involvement in the theft and distribution of goods from a Maiden company.

The defendant will serve his period of incarceration in custody of the North Carolina Division of Adult Corrections.

Authorities say the enterprise occurred between March 9, 2024, and May 18, 2024, and investigation started when it was discovered that two truckloads of the company’s goods did not arrive at their intended destination.

Court officials say Holmes and a co-defendant were instrumental in distribution of the stolen goods through various trucking companies. Officials say the co-defendant’s case is still pending, and he is considered innocent unless and until proven guilty.
