CFD: Victim dies after 2-alarm apartment fire
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte Fire says a man has died days after a two-alarm apartment fire in south Charlotte.
It started around 5:30 a.m. Thursday morning at the Aurea Station apartments on Winter Oaks Lane near Sharon Road West.
Six people, including two children, were taken to the hospital. Two of them were transferred to Wake Forest Burn Center. Fire investigators said Saturday that one of those patients, an adult male, has died.
Damage to that property is estimated at more than $100,000.
