1 charged with second degree murder after deadly crash in Gastonia

GASTONIA, N.C. – A man is now charged with second-degree murder after a deadly crash in Gastonia on Monday. Investigators say 30-year-old Robert Johnson hit and killed 70-year-old James Harris around noon.

It happened at the intersection of Churchill Drive and East Garrison Boulevard. Johnson is also facing charges for DWI and failing to stop at a red light.
