NC Gov. Josh Stein in Charlotte Wednesday, touring Coca-Cola Consolidated facility
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Governor Josh Stein visited the Coca-Cola Consolidated facility in Charlotte on Wednesday. He met with company leadership and students in its apprenticeship program. Through a partnership with Central Piedmont Community College, the bottling facility is preparing students for high-demand positions in manufacturing, equipment repair, and logistics.
Stein says, “I think that it really just creates greater chances for people to build that life that they want for themselves.”
Coca-Cola Consolidated President and COO Dave Katz added, “It gives people a chance to start a great career, build a great career, have an opportunity for their families, have an opportunity for their kids, maybe to go to school or a schooling opportunity they didn’t have.”
Since taking office in November, Governor Stein has announced more than more than $18 billion in investments and more than 24,000 new jobs coming to North Carolina.
