Iredell Co. Sheriff: Violent, repeat offender arrested in drug bust after weeks of investigation
IREDELL CO., N.C. – Iredell County Sheriff’s deputies seized drugs, cash and guns during a drug bust in Statesville on Thursday.
They say the bust was a result of weeks of investigation after reported cocaine sales in the area. They say they recovered nearly a pound of cocaine from the home on Forest Park Drive worth more than $33,000.
50-year-old Marlon Dalton was arrested. Detectives call him a violent repeat offender, saying he was already out on bond for attempted murder charges at the time of his arrest. Now, Dalton is facing multiple drug and firearms charges as well.
He’s being held behind bars, this time with no bond.
