CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Carolina Panthers were happy to be back in front of fans again at Bank of America Stadium.

In addition to the open team practice, the evening was filled with performances by the Panthers entertainment teams as well as a fireworks finale and laser show.

Panthers head coach Dave Canales expressed just how vital Panthers fans’ support is to the team.

“That was a lot of fun right there, just great energy,” Canales said. “So much love for the fans that came out. Lots of great energy, the guys needed it; we’re deep in the camp, so, all the help we can get to just kind of create those types of practices.”

“The guys don’t understand the impact they can have on people just by spending a little bit of time, by going to see someone, taking a picture with somebody. You know, connecting with our fan base because they mean a lot to this town so I love moments like that we’re really happy to do that.”

The Panthers will soon begin joint practices consisting of two sessions—with the first coming in Charlotte against the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday, Aug. 6 and the second in Houston against the Texans on Thursday, Aug. 14.

Carolina’s joint practices will be followed by preseason games with both teams.
