Vintage Charlotte restaurant to close August 10th

 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Mattie’s Diner, a vintage Charlotte restaurant located on the Plaza will close its doors and go up for sale, Sunday, August 10th, according to the restaurant’s Facebook post.

The owners stated the decision to sell is due to shifting their focus on growing two other establishments known as The Wafflery, located on East 10th street in Uptown Charlotte and in Boone, N.C.

“We have decided to sell to focus on growing our other concept. It’s been a great run and we are looking for someone who wants to carry on the tradition of Mattie’s or you can create your own concept In this awesome 1948 original New Jersey diner.”

The owners have requested anyone that is interested in purchasing the business to contact them directly.
